DARWIN TRAILER BOAT CLUB FUNCTIONS INFORMATION

The Club’s facilities are available for use by members wanting to hold a private function. We can cater for the smallest of groups to numbers of 300-400 depending on requirements and type of function. The function areas are all outside venues either under swaying coconut palms at the waters edge or under an extensive and elaborate shade cloth structure (Under The Sails), both overlooking the bay. A microphone for the functions announcements can be arranged for under the sails only. Decorations can also be arranged (See photo).

ENTERTAINMENT: Normally left to the member to organise and advise the Club accordingly. We have no objections to Bands, Juke Boxes or D.J.’s. Music must be kept to a reasonable volume level. Strip shows or indecent acts are not permitted. Should you require us to book entertainment on your behalf a booking fee of $20.00 is made.
 

LIQUOR: Beverages are charged at current club bar prices with a few options on format available: Fridge set up with your own bar person serving drinks (costs apply)  Dry till: your guests use the bar charging their drinks to a bar tab previously arranged with the function organiser.  Eskies: specified drinks can be put in your function area. An imprest stock is used and returns are credited at the end of the function.  Cash Bar: your guests buy their own drinks.       (This is not recommended for the larger functions because of the difficulty of serving individual  orders in a short time).

MENU: Function menus are available upon request and catering is arranged with the Club’s contract caterers who operate the "Cee Cea's"  Bistro  within the Club. They are able to cater  for anything from Children’s Birthday Parties, to ‘Cocktail’ parties and formal Dinners. Click Here >

Payment for function catering is generally 3 days prior based on final confirmed numbers. Alternate arrangements can be made by prior arrangement.

DEPOSIT: A function reservation deposit of $200.00 will be required to hold the Clubs ‘main sail’ function area and this will be deducted from the final Club bill for beverages and miscellaneous function costs.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Should it be necessary for a function booking to be cancelled after a deposit has been paid the deposit will be forfeit unless the venue and date can be resold. A cancellation/booking fee of $10.00 is charged when a deposit is refunded.

It is recommended that an appointment be made to discuss your individual requirements for your function or if you have any further queries regarding the facilities the Darwin Trailer Boat Club has to offer.
