The SPECIES OF JUNE MONTH was MUD CRAB.

Lewis and Chris Seamons caught 5 in total, 2 measured 19.5 cm, but since They already entered 2 big crab's at this size for fish of the month, just had to eat the rest.

Lewis has learnt how to tie mud crabs now and tied all these up for His Dad to handle and cook, something Chris haven't mastered. Makes life easier for him, and Lewis wants to catch more crabs so he can tie some more.

Prizes were handed out by the President Kevin Jenkins to the winners of June 2008 Fishing Competition.

Adult largest crab. Chris Seamons

Junior Largest crab. Lewis Seamons

From the Month of May, a prize that had not yet been collected which was the Junior largest Snapper caught in May. Lewis Seamons

The Winners of the MAY 2008 Species of the Month fishing competition:

The SPECIES OF MAY MONTH was ANY SNAPPER. And this has now been won.

It was a good competition for the month of May:

In the JUNIORS SPECIES OF THE MONTH we received entries from one Junior only:

The winner: Lewis Seamons (Below Left) with a nice 1.10 kg Snapper caught at Middle Arm on the 18th of May 2008.

In the Adults section we had quite a few fish caught:

Most of them was around 1.1 to 3kg

But:

The Winner is Paul Riggs (Below Right) who caught a 4Kg Snapper in the Bynoe Harbour area. The winners Prize presented by the President Kevin Jenkins (Right)

A voucher for the two winners has been purchased, by Darwin Trailer Boat Club, from “GOT-ONE” who are keen supporters and sponsors of the club.

The Winners of the APRIL 2008 Species of the Month fishing competition:

A lot of Entries was received for the Month of April.

The JUNIORS SPECIES OF THE MONTH prize has been won for the Month of April.

The Species of the month fishing competition for the Month of April JACKPOTTED to an amazing $300 for Juniors. The SPECIES OF APRIL MONTH was JEW FISH. And this has been won.

In the Juniors entry we received from:

Jack Weaver with a beautiful 10kg Jewfish caught at Point Charles on the 13^th of April.

And the winner, Jamie Osmond who had an entry with a nice 15.5Kg Jew Fish

In the Adults section we had quite a few entries:

Dale Bicheno with a nice Jewfish weighing 10kg caught at Point Charles

Georgina Osmond caught an 11kg Jewfish at Bynoe Harbour on the 13^th April

Vici Loder also caught a beauty, a 12kg Jewfish at Point Charles on Sunday 13^th April

Lassie Colley caught a 14.5 kg Jewfish also at Point Charles on the 27^th April.

Megan Brown Caught Beauty at Point Charles on the First weekend of April Weighing 15.8kg

The Winner is Jannie Thomson who caught a 16.5Kg Jewfish near fish reef on Sunday the 13^th April.

"The species of the month fishing competition" is NOT for Boaties only. All members of the club, House Members, Boat Owners,

Pensioners ETC are all eligible. The Catch can be from any beach, wharf, creek or river.
Species of the month fish submitted does not have to be caught on a club trip but can be caught at any time during the month
